Cacao & Almond Energy Balls.

I love having a snack in the afternoon with my cup of tea so I tried to make some energy balls that are packed with lots of good nutrients, zero unhealthy/unnecessary stuff and ready in less than 10minutes.

This is what I came up to and they are simply delicious 😋

Ingredients for 5 balls:

  • 60g pitted dates
  • 20g almonds
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon cacao
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Soften the Dates:
    • Soften the pitted dates in a bit of warm water until they are soft and ready to be blended.
  2. Chop the Almonds:
    • Finely chop the almonds in a blender or food processor and set them aside.
  3. Blend the Dates:
    • In the same blender, put the softened dates and blend until they become smooth.
  4. Add Remaining Ingredients:
    • Add the chopped almonds, almond butter, coconut oil, cacao, and a pinch of salt to the blender.
  5. Blend Together:
    • Blend everything together until you get a nice texture.
  6. Form the Balls:
    • Use your hands to shape the mixture into balls.
  7. Refrigerate and Enjoy:
    • Refrigerate the balls for a couple of hours before serving.
    • Enjoy these delicious and healthy treats!

Note: These balls are dangerously addictive and high in calories despite being healthy, so enjoy them in moderation.
